"Now Available"

In the moments she had remaining, as she sensed her battered body surrendering to deaths cold fingers, her life flashed before her.  From birth, to visions of a little girl cavorting with her sisters, she began to relax as her heartbeat… slowed.  The visions covered the cruel years when as third daughter she struggled with being overweight and of average appearance.  She felt lost, a duckling growing up in a family of beautiful swans.  Pressured as a teen to conform, she finds salvation in hiding behind a body opposite.  When in her rebellion she is labeled as gay, she relishes in the freedom of her new mistaken identity and feeds the fallacious rumors with punk hair styles in a variety of wild colors, body tattoos, and unisex clothes.

Caught up in her phony identity, she joins the Army and allows that label to perpetuate among her macho minded comrades.  She develops a combative friendship with a black soldier, who also feels singled out because of his race, and battles her for top marksman.  But that friendly rapport fuels jealousy that resulted in her being savagely attacked by four fellow soldiers, and left for dead in the dirt and weeds of Afghanistan.

After three years of a strenuous physical and mental recovery, the surprise return of the friend that had found her in time, and the vicious man that led her attack both arriving in her home town, causes a deadly upheaval.  With one shot dead and the other dying, she seek solace from the violence alone on a beautiful island.  Finally, after a month of reflection on that island paradise, she discovers something there that will change her life… forever.

During two mass immigrations from 1984 to 1991, thousands of Ethiopians Jews were permitted to flee persecution in their country and migrate to Israel.  This is their story and how it saved a nation from a plague.

Israeli coastal towns suddenly experience a rash of severe flu like symptoms.  As those infected become gravely ill and die at an alarming rate, it becomes apparent this has become an epidemic.  The plague is identified as a variant of Anthrax, a deadly disease used in chemical warfare.  The nation of Israel faced total annihilation.

With tens of thousands dead, and finding no antidote, the nation prays for a Messiah. The answer comes from a Falashian refugee named David.  Hidden in a reclusive mountain valley in Ethiopia is a secret pool of miracle water.  Refused admission into the country to search, a secret mission is launched.  They are ambushed and face certain failure when half are killed.  Mortally wounded, David stumbles onto the location of the healing water, the Messiah Drug, that saves him and his adopted countrymen.

While the nation of Israel awaits to honor him as a hero, David receives another calling in his soul.  Shunning their adulation, and painfully being separated from the woman he loves, alone he risks his life carrying portions of the Messiah Drug to those infected with AIDS and other terrible diseases, living in the war torn, poverty stricken hell that is... Central Africa.
